YOUR DONATIONS really do help our work!
The Food Teachers Centre Community is run by a volunteer team. Our group is free to join. We do not charge any membership, so that this group remains open for all teachers, trainees and staff to receive the support, advice and training that they need.
A Donation of £20 (per teacher) would mean that we can pay for the website and newsletter costs, as well as having some funds to pay for travel to important meetings to represent teachers. Until 2019 these costs have been met by the volunteer team and via a small levy on each training event.
Donations help us to continue our great work in supporting food teachers and staff across the UK. Funds are only used to further the aims of the group to:
- provide and promote unbiased and accurate information to support curriculum development and innovation.
- support food teachers (including student teachers) to exchange best practice nationally and internationally.
- support teachers and schools to develop and/or enhance a healthy living whole school community.
How are funds managed and used?
The Food Teachers Centre Community has an elected management committee and operating constitution. The funds of the group including all donations, contributions and bequests, are paid into an account operated by the management committee. The funds belonging to the group are applied only to further the aims of the group listed above.
